Brief

The Engine Room is an initiative by Morley College London, continuing Morley’s legacy as a leading centre for experimental music and sound art.

We were asked to design a brand identity for the initiative to reflect an experimental approach to sound design.

      

Solution

The solution was a ‘dancing’ score icon, based upon digital sound patterns from an existing symphony.

We also helped our developers to design and online submissions platform to enable entry to the competition from around the world. This led to a dramatic increase in submissions that year.
